My name is Guido Lourenzo Boogert, an outdoor and travel photographer from the Netherlands, with a passion for ultrarunning and the outdoors.

I discovered my love for photography at a young age, taking pictures during holidays with my parents. In 2017, after a solo journey through Latin America, I became addicted to the frame. I went on to study at the Photoacademy in Amsterdam, where I developed a strong interest in documentary and reportage photography.

Today, I combine that approach with another long-standing passion: the outdoors, and especially the mountains. I have spent years long-distance hiking, camping and travelling by bike or campervan, and I’m drawn to stories around the landscapes, people and experiences found along the way. For me, photography is a way of documenting what it feels like to be there — from multi-day mountain journeys and life on the trail to exploring a destination from the road.

I work both independently and together with travel journalist Verena Asser. Together, we create visual and written travel stories for online and print publications and tourism organisations. I also regularly work independently for organisations and brands in the outdoor and travel industry.

I’m particularly interested in hiking, bikepacking, mountains, outdoor adventure and life on the road — whether joining a multi-day expedition, exploring a destination or creating visual content for an outdoor brand.
